Optical

Terms of service

The terms for the invitation-only hosted trial of Optical, operated by Bajanov Advisory Pty Ltd.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Who runs the service

The hosted trial of Optical is operated by Bajanov Advisory Pty Ltd (ABN 32 694 338 497). “We” and “us” on this page mean Bajanov Advisory Pty Ltd. How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy.

What the trial is

  • Invitation-only. Only people we have invited can sign in.
  • Free. There is no charge for the trial.
  • No SLA. There is no service level agreement.
  • It can change or end. We can change the service or withdraw the trial at any time. If we withdraw it, we give you notice and delete your data as the privacy policy describes.
  • Idle accounts are deleted. After 90 days without a sign-in or any use, we delete your account and its data, as the privacy policy describes.

Optical proposes, you accept

Optical changes your calendar when you accept a plan it proposes, or when a booking page or meeting poll you turned on books a time. It also cancels a booking when your guest declines it, and removes its own upcoming blocks when your account is deleted.

Connecting an AI assistant

You use Optical through an AI assistant that you connect yourself, under your own account with that assistant’s provider. Optical passes your calendar and scheduling data to that assistant when you ask it to.

You must not connect Optical to an assistant that uses what it receives from Optical, or your conversations about it, to train or improve AI models. In practice that means one of:

  • a commercial plan whose terms say your data is not used for training; or
  • a consumer plan with model training turned off before you connect Optical, and kept off while it’s connected.

The table shows what each provider’s own pages said when we checked them on 24 October 2026. Providers change these settings and terms, and the provider’s own page is what counts. The list is not exhaustive – if your AI assistant is not listed here, the rule above still applies.

  • abuse other people’s calendars or mailboxes;
  • send spam through polls or booking pages;

Liability

The trial is free and provided as is. You are responsible for what you accept: check each plan before you accept it, and check the booking pages and polls you turn on.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot be excluded, restricted or changed.

To the extent the law allows:

  • we make no promise that the service will be available, free of errors or fit for any particular purpose;

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we update this page and its “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we email you at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless we need to make it sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don’t agree, stop using the service and delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
